Frequently Asked Questions
Multiply the number by the percentage and divide by 100. For example, 15% of 2,000 = 2,000 × 15 ÷ 100 = 300. The calculator does this automatically in the first mode.
Divide the part by the whole and multiply by 100. For example, 45 out of 60 = 45 ÷ 60 × 100 = 75%. Use the second mode for this.
Subtract the original value from the new value, divide by the original, and multiply by 100. A positive result is an increase; a negative result is a decrease.
